  • Our Vision

    It has always been our desire for Experience Church to be a community you can easily share with your friends. Since the very beginning, our heart has been to establish an EC weekend gathering 15 minutes from everywhere in our city. As we grow and multiply in the city, it is apparent that the next step for EC is to expand in these specific areas as a church.

     

    The Build For Everyone campaign is designed to continue the expansion efforts of EC through specific and targeted goals. These will advance our efforts towards the goal of a life-giving church that reaches 14,000 for Jesus in Calgary.

    Our Mission

    We are doing whatever we can to reach 14,000 for Jesus in Calgary. We believe that if the church of Calgary collectively reaches 10% of the population for Jesus, a spiritual tipping point will occur. These 14,000 represent the 1% of the population of Calgary. Join us as we do everything we can to reach the 1%.

    Building

    A multi-phase process of renovating and building onto our current permanent space to accommodate even more people on a weekly basis.

    Education

    Pioneering generational impact through raising and educating the next generation through EC's own biblically based and affordable school. 

    Locations

    The value of being 15 minutes from everyone in the city of Calgary requires the ongoing development of extension sites and campus locations.  

    Land

    The importance of legacy-minded vision requires the strategy and investment to acquire potential parcels of land for future developments

  • Building Renovations

    Phase 1 - Patio & Foyer

    • The first phase of our building expansion includes; parking lot reconfiguration, concrete patio, and foyer expansion.
    • Project started: Spring 2023
    • Project completion: Early 2024

    Approx Cost: $800,000

    Phase 2 - Gymnasium & Multipurpose Rooms

    • The approved development plans for 15,000+ sq/ft expansion on the south side of the building
    • This expansion will include a full-size gymnasium, kitchen, washrooms, lobby space, and five additional multipurpose rooms.

     

    Approx Cost: $4 million

    North Campus

    • Services start fall 2023
    • Located in the NW quadrant of the city
    • Engage our North community with a fully functioning campus
    • Pastor Tay & Kirsten Olson are appointed as North Campus Pastors

    EC School

    • To pioneer generational impact through raising and educating the next generation through EC's own school.
    • Provide a strong church and parent supported school envirnoment that doesn't dilute Christian values but stregthens them.
    • We received an approved Alberta Education number pending local zoning.

    Building Expansion

    • A multiple phase process of renovating and building onto our current permanent space.
    • The breaking of ground on a new foyer expansion Spring of 2023.
    • The approved development plans for a foyer expansion, gymnasium and additional multipurpose rooms.

    Approx Cost: $3.2million

    Acquiring Land

    • To be thinking long-term as well with the potential acquistion of a 20 acre parcel of land directly south of the city of Calgary.
    • To build a 800+ auditorium with ample parking, EC Kids space and multipurpose rooms.
    • To build a fully functioning school with space to accommodate over 300+ students.

    Approx Cost: $2.4million

  • Education

    As we enter the education space, we launched the EC Learning Hub in September of 2023 as our pilot project in developing a school. The EC Hub aims to support families wanting their children to grow academically and spiritually. We understand the difficulties in finding biblically based, affordable, and high-quality schooling options.

    The brand-new EC Learning Hub is off to the races! We have 30 incredible students from Grades 1-10 already filling the space with excitement and curiosity. We’re so proud of offering a 4-day-a-week affordable alternative to education that is Biblically based! We capped this first pilot program year at 30 students and we already have a waiting list for next year.

  • Locations

    For that reason, we're thrilled to be launching our new Southwest Campus in early 2024 at Canyon Meadows Cinemas.

     

    The North Campus is currently in the launch phase as they gain interest, momentum, and engagement from the local communities in the northside of Calgary. We have launched North Freedom Nights at Alberta Bible College as we continue to expand into the north of Calgary.

  • Acquiring Land

    We have been actively viewing and looking at potential land locations to purchase for future expansion. We will continue to update this website with new possibilities and opportunities as we seek the next property location.

    We’re believing in God for a miracle and we’re asking you to believe with us as we reach Calgary and beyond for Jesus. Let’s commit together to set aside time every day to bring this to God. Consider accompanying your prayer with regular fasting and trust that God will lead you, grow your own capacity for generosity, and help us all reach this vision. If you are married and have children make this something you do together. As you pray keep your heart open to obeying how God leads you. Carefully assess your financial situation and look for ways you can sacrificially participate in this miracle.

  • Ways to Give

    Giving costs less than you think

    In Alberta, your tax credits for charitable donations after the first $200 reduce the cost of your gift by one-half.

     

    Federal and provincial government tax incentives encourage individuals to support their favourite charities, but many people grossly underestimate the true value of these incentives, in part because federal and provincial tax credits are calculated separately, not as one total amount on your individual tax return.

     

    Use this charitable donation tax credit calculator to see just how little it actually cost to give. Let’s explain using an AB resident:

     

    If you earn a salary: Federal and Provincial income tax is deducted from every paycheck. For most people at the end of the year, the amount of income tax deducted should be equal to what you owe, based on that income. To get some of that money back, you need to have Tax Credits.

     

    For example, if you had $10,000 in Income Tax deducted from your pay but gave a gift of $1,500 to Experience Church that you could claim on your tax form, you would get a Tax Credit of $700 back in cash from the government.
